Complete Guide to the Best Instagram Spots in Las Vegas

There is no place in the world that compares to Las Vegas! It is truly the city that never sleeps, a playground just for adults. Whether you’re looking for world-class entertainment, a luxurious shopping experience, delicious food, or just an unforgettable time, Vegas is the place to be! With that being said, there are plenty of Instagram spots and places to take photos in Las Vegas! From dazzling lights to themed displays, there are so many photoshoot opportunities. You know what they say…”what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas…unless you post it on Instagram!” Check out the complete guide to the best Instagram spots in Las Vegas with exact locations and shooting tips!

When people think of Vegas, most people only think of the Las Vegas Strip which is where most of the popular hotels and casinos are. However, there is much more to Vegas than the 4-mile long strip! I’ve compiled a list of the best Instagram spots in Las Vegas to include those photo spots that are both on the Strip and those that are in other areas of the city. I’ve also included a few Instagram spots that aren’t in the city of Las Vegas but are well worth the visit if you have the time to venture out. There are truly no other US cities quite like Vegas.

Getting Around Las Vegas

In terms of getting around Las Vegas, if you’re planning to explore just the Las Vegas Strip, it is honestly easier to walk. Waiting for taxis or rideshares can take quite some time that it might be faster (and cheaper) walking. As mentioned earlier, the Las Vegas Strip is only 4 miles long and most attractions are close to one another. If you plan your route (which I’ve done for you below 🙂 ) then you’ll find each spot no longer than a 5-minute walk from another.

If you plan to visit places not on the Las Vegas Strip, then I recommend getting a taxi/rideshare or even rent a car if you want to venture outside of Las Vegas!

Map of the Best Instagram Spots in Las Vegas

On the Las Vegas Strip

Starting with the Instagram spots on the Las Vegas Strip, I’ve ordered these locations starting from the south end of the Las Vegas Boulevard.

1. Welcome to Vegas Sign

Welcome to Las Vegas sign is one of the best Instagram Spots in Las Vegas
Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign

I had to start the list of the best Instagram spots in Las Vegas with the most iconic one! I mean…did you even go to Vegas if you didn’t get a photo by the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign? All jokes aside, this sign has become a cultural symbol, and this photo spot is the most popular one on this list. Therefore, if you want to avoid crowds, I suggest visiting early in the morning on a weekday.

However, I understand that visiting then might not be possible depending on your travel schedule, therefore, I have another tip! Usually, there’s a line that forms for a snap in front of the sign, however, if you go to the side (which I’ve done in the photo above) you can skip the entire line! You just have to either strategically cover the people with your body or take the photo while the groups are switching out.

If you have a car, there is a free parking lot right by this sign, which makes it easy to stop here.

2. Sphinx at the Luxor Hotel

I don’t think anywhere in the world compares to the hotels in Las Vegas when it comes to the themes! Is there another place with this many elaborately themed hotels? You can travel around the world to cities such as Giza, New York, Venice, Rome, and Paris by walking the Las Vegas Boulevard.

First stop? Egypt!

As you’re heading from the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign and up the strip, the Luxor Hotel is the first Instagram photo spot. I love the grand entrance to this hotel! Plus, be sure to go and check out the inside of the hotel as it’s shaped like a pyramid.

I recommend shooting the photo using a wide-angle lens from the bottom and angled upwards to capture the Sphinx and creating a looming effect.

2. Entance of Excalibur Hotel

Next to Luxor, we have the Excalibur Hotel! If you’ve ever wanted to stay in a castle, here’s your chance. This hotel makes such a whimsical backdrop and you’re transported into a fairytale. I recommend hopping on the banister and grabbing a cute shot.

3. New York New York Hotel

The New York New York Hotel makes such an epic backdrop! This fun and color scene with skyscrapers, the Statue of Liberty, and roller coasters is a great photo opportunity. You can capture this exact photo at the Tropicana Hotel where the hotel meets Las Vegas Blvd. Find the green lawn and snap away!

4. The NoMad Library (Park MGM Las Vegas)

If you’ve ever wanted to dine in a beautiful library, this is your place! Located in Park MGM Las Vegas, the NoMad Library is a glamorous restaurant with an award-winning cocktail selection. This soaring space houses over 25,000 books all from David Rockefeller’s personal collection.

To find this restaurant from Las Vegas Blvd, enter Park MGM and find your way to the main walkway. Then, head straight down the hallway by the Park Theater Ticket Office. The NoMad Library is on your right-hand side.

Do note that this is a restaurant, so if you want to capture a photo, visit during off-peak dining hours.

5. View of Las Vegas Strip from the Cosmopolitan

A stay at the Cosmopolitan is a great photo opportunity
Breakfast with a view of the Las Vegas Strip

I highly recommend staying at the Cosmopolitan during your Las Vegas trip! This super chic hotel has a prime location on the Las Vegas Strip, plus it offers the best views! I booked a room called “Terrace One Bedroom – Premium View” and I loved my entire stay! The room is super spacious and I got to enjoy breakfast out on the balcony.

6. Boulevard Pool (The Cosmpolitan)

Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan is one of the best Instagram spots in Las Vegas
Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan

Not only do the rooms offer amazing views, but also the pool! I spent an afternoon at the Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan and got to enjoy the beautiful Las Vegas skyline. The atmosphere was so fun with upbeat music, a pool sidebar, and plenty of lounge seating.

Of course, all guests at the Cosmpolitan get free entry, but if you’re not a guest, you will need to reserve a daybed or cabana. Pricing depends on availability and date.

I took this photo in the morning as I figured it wouldn’t have as many people in the pool yet.

7. Cosmopolitan Chandelier

The Chandelier in the Cosmpolitan is amongst the most iconic sights in Las Vegas! Be sure to stop by the Chandelier Lounge for drinks and a photo opportunity. Although lighting is not ideal most of the time, you just have to snap a picture and showcase this fun Vegas spot!

8. Outside the Bellagio Fountains

Outside the Bellagio
Outside the Bellagio Fountains

Another sight that cannot be missed in Las Vegas? The Bellagio Fountains!

These fountains come to life and put on a musical fountain show daily. You can see these fountains every 30 minutes, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday through Friday and every 15 minutes from 8:00 PM to midnight. On weekends and holidays, the fountains display their magic every 30 minutes from noon to 8:00 PM and every 15 minutes from 8:00 PM to midnight.

As you’re waiting for the show to begin, don’t miss out on another great Las Vegas Instagram spot.

9. The Mayfair Supper Club (Bellagio Hotel)

The entrance of the Mayfair Supper Club in the Bellagio is just stunning! You don’t even have to step inside to know to set your expectations high. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience with fun entertainment such as a jazz band and other performances. Be sure to check out their website for specific events.

10. Bellagio Conservatory and Gardens (Bellagio Hotel)

Each time I visit Vegas, I make sure to walk through the Bellagio for their famed Conservatory and Gardens. The floral displays and sculptures change with the season as this 14,000 square-foot space is transformed into a showcase of awe-aspiring sights, sounds, and scents.

The Conservatory can get quite busy so I recommend visiting as early as your schedule allows for good daylight without the crowds.

11. Sadelle’s Cafe (Bellagio Hotel)

Las Vegas is famed for its amazing brunch spots, but I think Sadelle’s Cafe tops the list! I love the interior of this cafe. You can find this restaurant inside the Bellagio Hotel near the Conservatory and Gardens. I recommend visiting during off-peak eating hours to get a photo without people in the background.

12. Across from Eiffel Tower (Paris Hotel)

The Eiffel Tower is such a great photo spot in Las Vegas! The best spot to capture it is actually across from the street from the Bellagio. I took these photos in the morning around 9 AM and there was hardly anyone around.

In general, you don’t have to wake up as early in Las Vegas as in other cities to get pictures without other people. People tend to venture out a bit later. For reference, I’ve gotten up as early as 5 AM in other cities to avoid getting people in my phoots.

13. Arch de Triumphe (Paris Hotel)

Arc de Triomphe in Las Vegas is a great instagram spot

After taking a photo of the Eiffel Tower from the Bellagio, cross the street and head to the Paris Hotel. You’ll see the Arc de Triomphe where the taxis and rideshares are dropping and picking up people. This photo was fairly easy to capture as there is a pedestrian sidewalk that allows you to capture this exact angle of the Arc de Triomphe.

14. Linq Promenade

The Linq is one of the newer hotels on the Las Vegas Strip and I love visiting the Promenade for restaurants, shops, and entertainment. Head down the Linq Promenade and strike a pose in front of the High Roller, an observation Ferris wheel, for a cute photo!

15. The Canal Shoppes at the Venetian Hotel

The Canal Shoppes at the Venetian

I remember during my first visit to Vegas at the age of 16 that I was absolutely blown away by the Venetian! The architecture, the canal, and the sky inside the Canal Shoppes left me awestruck. Now after visiting the real Venice, Italy, I can still say that the Venetian has done a remarkable job bringing a piece of Italy to the US. The exterior of the Venetian certainly takes me back to St. Mark’s Square. I love the exterior of the Canal Shoppes, and I highly recommend playing around with different angles to capture your photo.

16. Outside the Venetian Hotel

Another great photo spot at the Venetian is simply the outside! I love capturing the covered bridge with the canal – this spot also screams “I’m in Vegas” to me.

17. Venetian Hotel Entrance

The entrance of the Venetian Hotel

Let’s just take a minute to admire the entrance of the Venetian Hotel. How beautiful is this?!

I wasn’t able to capture a photo of the ceiling of the actual Sistine Chapel in the Vatican (because you’re not allowed to), but this replica is a great option as well!

I had a vision of wearing a ball gown to shoot at this location, and I got so many compliments from other Vegas visitors. This shot was actually taken at night and you have to get creative with hiding other people from the photo.

18. Gondola Ride (Venetian Hotel)

You can take a gondola ride outside the Venetian Hotel or through the Canal Shoppes inside! The gondola rides can be reserved in-person at the Venetian and range from $32 – $39/person.

19. Museum of Dream Space

If you love colors, then the Museum of Dream Space is perfect for you!

You might find the exhibits in this museum to be familiar if you’ve ever visited a Yayoi Kusama exhibit. This Japanese contemporary artist is famous for her infinite rooms, from which this museum got its inspiration.

Each room is so unique and colorful that can get creative with your photography. There are so many different exhibits, so you’ll definitely capture some very insta-worthy shots here.

20. Fashion Show Mall Colorful Stairs

You’ll find these colorful stairs at the Fashion Show Mall near! How fun are these stairs – I think you can get really creative with your poses here. Plan your outfit accordingly and strike a pose! Sit on the steps, lean against the railing, play with wide-angle…the options are endless here!

Other Las Vegas Instagram Spots

21. Little White Chapel

Goin’ to the chapel…And we’re gonna get married

Las Vegas is known for its wild parties, extravagant shows, themed hotels and casinos, and… getting eloped! There have been so many pop cultural references about going to Vegas to get hitched and this Little White Chapel is perhaps the most famous of them all! Many celebrities including Frank Sinatra, Judy Collins, Bruce Willis, Michael Jordan, and Britney Spears, had their ceremony here. Over 800,000 couples have gotten married here! You could even get married in a drive-thru “Tunnel of Vows”.

22. The High Hat Regency Motel

Across the road from the Little White Chapel is the High Hat Regency Motel. I love the retro look of the motel, and I suggest coming at dusk to capture the sign lit up. There are so many other cool signs in this area of Las Vegas that you’ll probably find plenty of other photo spots near this one!

23. Freemont District East Sign

I didn’t venture outside of the Las Vegas Strip until my fourth visit to Vegas, and I wished I explored the other areas sooner. There is much more to Las Vegas than the Strip. Freemont District is another fun area full of food, bars, and entertainment, and I highly recommend a visit. You want to know what the Freemont Street Experience is right?

24. El Cortez Hotel & Rainbow Crosswalk

The El Cortez Hotel is just a few blocks away from Fremont Street, and I love the rainbow crosswalk in front of the hotel. Snap a candid shot crossing the road, but be sure to look before you cross!

25. The Empty Club

This pink box at Fremont & 8th is actually the oldest surviving gas station in town. Built in 1931, this building has served many purposes throughout the years from the original gas station to a hot dog stand. It has stood against the test of time, and in 2018 it was bought as an art space and subsequently painted by artist, André Saraiva.

26. Neon Light Museum

The Neon Light Museum is a super cool spot to check out! It is essentially a graveyard for old Vegas signs. You can learn about the history of Vegas by taking a tour of the Neon Light Museum. Check out their calendar and be sure to reserve your tickets online ahead of time.

This museum is full of photo opportunities, but I do want to disclose that they have a strict photography policy. Cameras are not allowed and you’re only allowed to take personal photos with your phone. If you do wish to shoot professional or commercial photos, you need to obtain a license prior. Check out the full policies here.

27. Symphony Park

How cute is this rainbow wall! This colorful Instagram photo spot can be found at Symphony Park in downtown Vegas. Try and match one of the colors on the wall and strike some poses.

28. Cafe Lola

This is a super cute cafe that’s about 20 minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip! Not only are there beautiful floral walls, but also a pink phone booth and delicious drinks and bakery goods. Be sure to stop by for the fun pink decor.

29. Baby Birds Cafe

Baby Birds Cafe is another Insta-worthy cafe in Las Vegas! Who knew that Las Vegas had so many cute cafes! Their menu also looks so good with salads, toasts, bowls, and of course coffee and teas.

Instagram Spots a Bit Further Out

These photo spots are a bit further out and will require you to have a car, however, I wanted to include these if you have the time to visit!

30. Ethel M Cactus Garden

If you’re obsessed with plants, then the cactus garden is the place for you! This 3-acre botanical garden is located in the town of Henderson. Over 300 species of plants can be found here, and it is free to visit.

31. Mrs. Coco

You can also find this pretty pink Instagram spot in the town of Henderson! Stop by the cactus garden and Mrs. Coco for a fun day trip to Henderson. I love the pretty pink floral wall and there’s also a cute floral tub as well. Although this isn’t exactly in Las Vegas, I think it is one of the best Instagram spots in the area.

32. Seven Magic Mountains

Seven Magic Mountains is one of the best instagram spots in Las Vegas
Seven Magic Mountains

You can find this colorful art installation just 20 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip! This is just off the side of the highway and free to visit. For the best lighting, I suggest visiting in the morning or around sunset, however, I managed to snap the photo above in the afternoon and it wasn’t too bad. This spot can get quite crowded so you’ll have to get creative with hiding people behind the colorful pillars or covering them with your body.

33. Valley of Fire State Park

Mouse Tank Road is one of the best Instagram spots in Las Vegas
View from Mouse Tank Road

Valley of Fire State Park is only an hour from Las Vegas, but the hikes and views in this Nevada state park are incredible! You can easily spend a whole day in this state park. The entrance fee is $10 for Nevada residents and $15 for non-Nevada visitors.

Here are some of my favorite spots in Valley of Fire State Park:

  • Mouse Tank Road (pictured above): This road offers some of the most scenic views in the park and several trails are accessed from this road. To find the photo spot above, drive on Mouse Tank Rd and the view is actually behind you! I could not find this spot until I was driving out of the park and realized the view was behind me the entire time.
  • Fire Wave Trail: This short 1.5 miles out and back trail leads to a cool sight known as the Fire Wave – it is certainly well worth the hike.
  • White Domes Trail: Another great and short trail (1.1 mile) that takes you into the middle of towering rocks. This reminds me of the Narrows at Zion National Park at certain points.

34. Cactus Joe’s

Cactus Joe’s is another plant nursery near Las Vegas – it is open from 9 AM to 2 PM daily. You’ll find a variety of Joshua Trees and other desert plants such as cacti, succulents, agave, yucca, and more! I added this spot to the list because it is actually en route to Red Canyon.

35. Red Rock Canyon

Lastly, Red Rock Canyon is a recreational area located in the Mojave Desert. It is famed for its towering red rock formations and petroglyphs! Some things to do within Red Rock Canyon include driving the 13-mile Scenic Drive and hiking its many trails. The entrance fee is $15/vehicle or it’s free if you have the America the Beautiful pass.
